||Head of Security
||East of England
Head of Security (Nuclear Sites) - Permanent - Competitive Salary and Bonus Package including Car - Base Location: Oldbury, Gloucestershire. The position is virtual, but there will be a requirement to travel to all sites around the UK.
Interview Location: Likely to be Oldbury, Gloucestershire, Birmingham or Chapelcross at the end of November.
Key Duties / Accountabilities
Strategic delivery of company security arrangements to ensure compliance with its obligations under the Nuclear Industries Security Regulations 2003 (NISR 2003), subsequent replacement documents, Security Assessment Principles and the Security Policy Framework (SPF), specifically for:
Personnel Security which includes pre-employment Screening and National Security Vetting (NSV), aftercare and access arrangements to sites and offices (to also include any Sensitive Nuclear Information (SNI) sent outside of the company).
Physical Protection Security (the systems and structural protection measures).
Operational Security - guarding arrangements, counter terrorist protection and preparedness and competence management;
Manage the guarding force at all Company Sites and liaise with the Regulator (ONR-CNS) to ensure that Site Licence security conditions are met and arrangements are aligned to the activity and stage of decommissioning of Sites.
Manage the central security team, Security Vetting staff and Regional/Site Security Managers;
Develop and deliver the company Security Enhancement Programme;
Ensure adequate internal and external assurance of the company arrangements are undertaken;
Liaise with NDA estate Heads of Security, SLCs and NDA on specific working groups and relevant government departments and agencies;
Maintain internal and external stakeholder (including Regulator) relations;
Conduct and support investigations and ONR-CNSS interventions as required in association with site representatives;
Ensure that Regulator actions, as assigned, are actioned to closure;
Support and prepare reports for the EHSSQ Director as required;
Identify, assess and manage the security threats and risks at all levels in the Company, partly through monitoring security trends, potential/emerging threats and vulnerabilities;
Be part of the company On Call Roster, acting when needed as Security Duty Officer;
Identify good practice at sites and externally, and promote and deploy across the Functions/Sites through site visits and briefings.
