Project Scope Statement/Justification:

To manage one or more Project Improvements at Sellafield or Work with multiply Projects to deploy learning from experience and considered best practices on the Projects being executed by Sellafield.

To work with Improvement Leads and project Teams to facilitate, guide or direct personnel on the intelligent application of Project Fundamentals build project delivery confidence and achieve efficiency in project cost and schedule delivery.

Project Deliverables

Post holder will report to the Head of Programme and Project Improvements within the Project Delivery Directorate. Post holder will work collaboratively with the Project delivery leads (Heads of Projects & Senior PM’s) from across the business.

Post holder will liaise with the Improvement Programme Work-stream leads to understand the required improvements in Project performance and the related enabling activities, and work with the front line Project Teams to develop understanding of the required improvements in the Project Team and facilitate the application of the improvements by the Project Team.

Post holder will liaise with subject matter experts from the Project professions and act as a conduit between delivery and functional groups.

Where required the Post holder may lead a specific improvement Work-stream on behalf of the Project Transformation Programme Manager requiring the management of a small delivery team of Project professionals.

Project Desirables

A working knowledge of Major Project Delivery.

Awareness of the Project Management Fundamentals & APM Standards.

Project Essential

Ability to gain an understanding of diverse work-scopes quickly, identify interdependencies and constraints which enable Project delivery and undertake risk opportunity assessment to build delivery confidence.

Working Knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals

Ability to drive project delivery, influence others, work collaboratively to build and deliver common goals and build constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Balance competing demands for resource.

Attention to detail in the quality of work output delivered.

Required Qualifications

APM or MSP Courses completed - Desirable.

Project or Engineering discipline Chartership Preferred
