IT Task Manager – Based - Chapel Bank, Workington, Cumbria – 12 months - £25 PAYE


The IT Task Manager will enable the successful & timely delivery of technology solutions in response to identified business needs.

He/ She will assists in formalising business needs & requirements.

The IT Task Manager leads cross-functional teams to deliver tasks successfully in line with company policies achieving established goals & objectives within approved parameters

Essential & Desirable Skills

3 years’ experience within a project environment or demonstrable transferable skills with particular emphasis on negotiation, persuasion, planning and record keeping skills

Experience working in a highly-regulated environment

Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of the business

Strong organisational skills

Proven planning and scheduling skills – ability to track progress and report on performance

Proven motivation skills

Strong influencing skills able to progress ’stuck’ tasks

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to foster collaboration, with team colleagues and the wider business

The ability to recognise issues and concerns early that may impact the project delivery to timescales and take action to minimise impact

Degree in IT, or relevant subject, or equivalent work experience

Ability to translate business needs into requirements within an IT setting.

The role will require a broad range of IT experience.

Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Proven attention to detail and record keeping skills

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

Highly self-motivated and directed DES:
Project office experience

Small Project or Task Management experience

Prince 2, APM or equivalent qualification
