We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to work on a perm basis within our client’s office in London, near to Earls Court.
You will be working in a dynamic, ever changing / responsive operational environment within Counter Terrorism. The role will be working in the Strategic Design Authority (SDA) which is a core component of the Change Pillar. This is a new unit which develops, manages and maintains the operating model in line with the network’s strategy. It has various important functions including; operating model stewardship, assurance, design appraisal and change management, horizon scanning, and design centre of excellence.
The SDA is growing in line with the demand to tackle current and future threats, and so a number of exciting new roles have been created to support this area of business.
Conducting analysis to design effective solutions. For example, capturing as-is information in key areas and developing to-be (target) organisational high level designs/business operating models. This will be achieved by identifying and collecting relevant data, organising and analysing data (e.g. conducting demand and resource modelling), and compiling outputs (e.g. reports, analytical products, operating models, etc).
Developing appropriate templates/processes for the recording of organisational design/business operating models and associated organisational structures, policies, procedures and standards that will govern the way the business will operate.
Completing analysis in support of change implementation and evaluation. For example, assessing design readiness, interdependencies and their impact.
Providing best practice advice and support to the business in business analysis methods and approaches.
Providing quality assurance and feedback on organisational design documents and target organisational design/design change(s)/business operating models.
The above activity will involve liaison and stakeholder management and horizon scanning for new SDA demand.
Experience of undertaking business analyst activity using formal methodologies and approaches. Including collecting and analysing complex data in order to provide concise and meaningful recommendations.
Experience of supporting the development of business operating models.
Candidates must have experience of Target Operating Models as well as business design activities
Have the ability to join together POPIT
Experience in reviewing and enhancing business cases and detailed design documents throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience of working with various stakeholders within a large organisation including managing expectations and dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities.
Ideally, experienced in police/public sector, or consultancy environment.
Professional Project Management qualification by examination (e.g. Prince 2)
Experience of working in a policing and/or security environment.
Experience of building confidence with stakeholders and relationships at all levels.
Experience of working in a challenging, change-driven environment.
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) at Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
